A new baby, a challenge and a ride on the train

On Saturday night around 11PM I get a text telling me that this person has an important question for me, so I respond. Then she proceeds with "Call me its too much to text" So I call her. She is asking me 101 questons on if she is in active labor and if I had experienced this and that while I was in labr. and i had her timing her contractions which were about 6-7 minutes apart, and then after about 15 contractions I had her focus on the length of each one, and yes indeed she was in active labor. I told her she would be heading to the hospital later that morning. I wake up around 5AM and she was already in her delivery room and had gone to the hospital at about 1AM when her contractions were about 2 minutes apart.

By 12:36 on January 13 2010 

she welcomed baby Gianni Julian Lozada into this world, Weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long. Congratulations to you and Rolando, and of course the rest of the family (tias, tios, y primos)

Day 13- Do you feel Christmas Is too commercialized?
Yes, it just seems to be more about presents, and money and how much these big companies can make off of you on Christmas sales. Who can buy the best and biggest presents, although I'm all for spoiling my 2 year old with gifts, I know they wont be that expensive because well, he is a destructive 2 year old, and on our Christmas Eve we will attend church and have a dinner, the gifts come in the morning but the day is spent just The Mr. our baby boy and Myself watching movies being lazy and just enjoying that one day away from everyone and just being together.

Day 12- When and How did you learn the truth about Santa?

 Well when we were really young there was one boy we used to play with whom would always say santa wasnt real! my parents assured us he was. On a trip to florida his family came with us, and he again said he wasn't real and my dad assured us he was. Santa had found us all the way in Florida, and had forgotten his wrapping paper lol. Well by age 8 (I was always a nosey Curious one) it was easter, and we had gone easter egg hunting that morning, and as i go into my moms room I spot something yellow from under a table clothe from a decorative table she had in her room. I peek under to find non other than ALL the little peeps jelly beans and chocolate and extra eggs that had been in our eggs! I of course ran to tellmy sister and that is the day my mom told us about  Santa, the Tooth Fairy, The easter bunny, and who ever else makes you spend extra money n your kids lol.

Day 11- How do You decorate your Christmas Tree?

Well this year we have not bought a christmas tree yet, sadly. but normally, we use alot of colors. and last year we decided to by an ornament for our LO for his first Christmas, which was a cookie Monster. this year it will probably be something Toy story related. If we do not buy a large tree ( since we are at my moms) I will just decorate a small Teenie Tiny tree for him with these cute toy story ornaments found on Toys R Us . com. So instead of one Ornament this Christmas he will get the whole set and every year we will add to his Collection. My main reason for having a Tree is for him. My parents always had one for us, and I want to do the same

Fawk you and a Challenge

Happy Friday yall. Is it Just me or did this week seriously Just Fly By? Even with working 6 days a week it has been a good week. Im hoping for my car either one to be ready by next wednesday, so I can Start driving again and not have to wake up super early waiting on a ride that says they are leaving at a certain time only to find out 2 hours later they are still asleep UGH!!!

 any ways Fridays are walways busy just as my M-S but since I have a few extra minutes before bed, although I am extremely tired Im linking Up early to FAWK YOU FRIDAY with Christy over at MY MAD MIND....

Day 10- When do you open your Christmas Gifts? Why?

When I was Younger we would open them at midnight if the dinner was held at the restaurant, but if it was held at home gifts would be opened in the morning, with the exception of one gift at midnight.
This year the Lo will be opening 1 gift on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Morning.

Day 9- Do You Remember Your Favorite Holiday gift?


My Favorite Holiday Gift Was a Brown teddy bear given to me maybe at age 3. I still have him ( kelley) and the LO is now his new Owner, although he still favors his Giant Pink Bear ( benny)

Day 7- Which Do You Prefer giving Or Receiving?
I enjoy Both. It depends who I'm receiving from, some people make me anxious to know while others not so much. The Mr. Gives the best gifts because A.) he knows how to take a hint or 5 lol and B.) He knows me well enough to know what will make me smile, from picking a simple card, to spending 1k on a camera it shows how much he knows me which shows me the love he has for me. My favorite things to receive are thos random little I love you notes and letters I get from time to time, the texts that Say I love you baby just cuz he knows im stressed.

For Christmas, Shopping is exhausting, especially when you spend money on some one who well didnt put as much effort into your gift as you did with theirs. Giving is a great feeling when you see that persons face light up, even if its just a pair of socks a sweater Vest, or some gloves ( like we give my grandpa) it never fails to have him jumping for Joy!  Theyre both rewarding in a way, and I would be a liar if i said I didnt enjoy receiving as much as I enjoy giving!

Day 6- Favorite holiday Memory as a Child?

   I can Remember one specific Christmas, and sometimes I really do wonder How I remember this If i was maybe 2 or 3, but it was a memorable Christmas. It must have been one of the first Christmas' that my parents got so may gifts for us. From the way the story goes it was a hard year for them. Money had been tight bills were late but even still they managed to put up a tree and ( with some help) Managed to have the tree full of presents! We (my sister and I) woke up to find the tree full of Giant sized books like: Little Red Riding hood, Goldilocks and the Three bears, and a few others the only one I really rmeember from back then is Little red Riding hood, but since we still have them stored I know the other names. We received walkie talkies ( one of the things I remember) and this little Brown Bear that remained unamed until  was about 8 and His name is Kelley, god knows why but that is the one piece of that Christmas that is always with me, Even still Kelley makes his way to PR, El Salvador, Bahamas, basically anywhere I go He goes. He is still in pretty good condition a little scruffy but the LO loves it now. and anytime my parents see that bear it never fails that I hear the story of that Christmas, and I'm amazed at the  fact that I remember Few things from that Christmas like the color of our bedding ( purple)  and the Boyish walkie talkies, Lol.

Day 5- Plans for Christmas?

This year we are having christmas Dinner at the Family restaurant. The whole family gets together and we enjoy our Dinner. Then we have the gift exchange which usually takes over an hour. My dad stands up on stage whith the Mic, the helpers hand him a gift and he calls out the name for each gift and each person makes their way to the stage smiling to receive their gift. After the gift Exchange, we usually have a few bingo games to do some gift give aways and by the end we do a raffle for either 1 or 2 prizes! the kids really love it, and the adults enjoy it alot as well, I very excited for this Christmas.

Day 4- What are you hoping to get this Christmas?

Well I want to Be selfish and say I want the New Nikon which I'm sure I will get, But I would feel horrible spending that much money on yet another DSLR when I already have 2 Of them and only Use 1. I am hoping to have a relaxing STRESS FREE evening with my Mr. and Baby Boy, No drama, and hoping to get all the Things on the list i put for My little man. There is not Much that I want for me personally, Maybe some clothes, shoes, and a North Face.

Day 3- What is your Favorite thing about Christmas?

      My favorite thing about Christmas is the pictures, memories, shopping, and the giving. I love to go out and buy something for some one, knowing how happy they will be once they receive it. This year I am having a hard time shopping for the little one since he is actually into shows and movies, but nonetheless all I can picture when i go shopping is his excitement when he sees it! I love getting all dressed up to take pictures with my men and my family, its an all around happy time for us, and every year its great memories that we create!

Day 2- Have you started Christmas Shopping Yet? if yes when did you start? if No when do you plan to start?

Kind of, We have started buying a few things here and there DVD's for the LO, and little games, even a Santa Suit, but as far as toys... Nope. We have bought him so much recently, Mostly TS3 themed ( a Toddler bed, the movies ( all 3) Woody, Buzz, The potatoe, The green car, the aliens... you get the picture) That it just seems a little redundant to be out shopping for ore of the same kind of toys, which is what we keep finding ourselves looking at in stores, and what he seems to want. We plan to continue to buy him little things here and there and just like last year, Mommy will get him something on her own, Daddy, will get him something on his own, something from the both of us, and then 1 gift from Santa, along with the ittle things we've bought him.


Moving on, I have received Yet another award, this time one I had some control over. I comment alot there for I won this award. Thanks to Christy over at My Mad Mind for giving me this award, and also congrats to all the other award winners whom won Runner up, and Honorable mention.

December Already?? And a Christmas Challenge

I Cannot believe December is here already. Where has this year gone? It feels like just yesterday The Mr. had separated from the Navy, we had moved into our new townhouse, and were getting ready to take our monster on his first trip to Puerto Rico to meet  my inlaws. Now it is one year later and I have no idea what the plans are for his birthday, let alone Christmas... Anyways we had a very Busy day Which started at about 5AM and is going to have to end a Little shortly after 1AM because I have work in the morning. Hope everyone enjoys their first day of December!

This year, Hmmm, I think I have been a little of both. For the most part I think I've been nice. Nothing to the extreme that would take me off of Santas Nice List... and the naughty things I have done I'm sure would still keep me on his Nice list lol.
